Solar Steelconstruction designed the SMS-212L mounting system for double-sided modules, which consists of a table complete with hardware. The main feature of the design is that there is no shading of the back side of the modules, the height from the edge of the panel to the ground is 1-1.2 m. This is higher than the conventional design.

Why is this so? The front side of a photovoltaic module receives direct solar radiation, and the back side receives reflected radiation from the ground and other surfaces. Because of this, the photovoltaic cells “absorb” the sun’s rays not only from the front side, but also from the back. Therefore, the height of such structures should ensure unobstructed passage of reflected light.
