Ground-mounted solar panel design options

Solar Stalkonstruktsiya offers a wide range of engineering solutions for ground-based solar panel installations, from small private projects to large-scale energy parks. We design structures based on site characteristics, system capacity, panel type, and customer requirements. The structures are based on galvanized steel profiles, which demonstrate high resistance to corrosion and temperature fluctuations. Each system is supplied complete with all necessary fastening elements.

Our specialists implement the following types of structures:

  • Single-support tables with horizontal panel placement are ideal for small projects. The standard solution is 8-panel sections;
  • Variable tilt systems allow the orientation of modules to be adjusted throughout the year, which increases generation efficiency;
  • Two-support stationary structures for 40-50 panels are a solution for medium and large projects. The panels can be mounted vertically or horizontally;
  • Solar carports combine parking with power generation. A single carport can accommodate over 100 modules.

All solutions have a long service life of over 20 years. Ground-mounted solar panels, mounted on our structures, maintain stable operation even in strong winds, snow loads, and challenging terrain, providing environmentally friendly electricity generation without harmful emissions.

Ground-based solar power plants that we supply can be either fixed or tracking systems. Tracking systems allow the panels’ tilt angle to be adjusted, providing up to 15% higher energy generation. At the same time, traditional fixed structures offer greater durability and lower maintenance requirements.

We use high-quality materials for ground-mounted solar power plants

In ground-mounted solar panel structures, cold-rolled steel profiles made from S235JR/S355JR coil steel according to EN 10025 are used, with an anti-corrosion coating applied via hot-dip galvanizing according to ISO 1461:2022. The use of S350GD galvanized coil steel according to EN 10326, as well as equivalents (Aluzinc, Magnelis, Corrender, Posmac), with a minimum corrosion protection of 275 g/m², is also permitted, depending on the requirements of each specific project.

For fastening, fasteners made of A2-70 stainless steel according to ISO 3506-1:2020 or carbon steel according to ISO 898-1:2013 with alternative coatings (electro-galvanizing, Dacromet, Delta, HDG) are used, depending on the customer’s specifications.

These are individual sections that can be connected into virtually endless tables up to 150 meters in length, or as separate shorter tables.
We are manufacturers of ground mounting structures, including load-bearing elements, and we can adjust the configuration according to customer requirements and the characteristics of the site.

Depending on the complexity of the terrain and its surface, we offer special mounting elements to correct unevenness and landslides during installation. Using these elements simplifies assembly and allows flexible positioning of the support beams without additional time costs.

Ground-mounted adjustable table structures for solar panels are made from high-quality structural steel with zinc coating ranging from 20 to 120 μm, in accordance with ISO 1461:2022 and the technical specifications of the client.

It is possible to manufacture structures for solar modules from 1 to 3 rows in portrait orientation or 2 to 6 rows in landscape orientation.
The mounting systems are suitable for modules with or without frames.
