Where to start the construction of a solar station?

The construction of a ground-based solar power plant begins with the foundation.

Pile racks of Solar Stalkonstruktion company can:

– to be driven into the ground and concreted upon the fact of driving, if necessary, to increase the bearing capacity;

– to be concreted;

– to be installed on concrete blocks.

At the design stage, plans for the location of piles are developed with the appropriate coordinates, dimensions and ties. These parameters depend on the quality of the soil, relief and climatic features. Such plans must be submitted at least one week before piling operations begin. In addition, the position of the first and last pile in each row should be marked on the site with a vertical beacon mark. In rows, the length of which exceeds 30 m, you should also set intermediate marks inside the rows.

The project includes the following data:

  • Piling depth.
  • The difference in the level of the top of the piles of one table.
  • The inclination of the pile relative to the vertical axis in any direction.
  • Rotation of the pile relative to the vertical axis.

Stages of foundation works on the example of concreting:

1. Marking.

2. Drilling holes.

3. Backfill with crushed stone.

4. Setting up the rack in the project position.

5. Pouring concrete.

This type of foundation is easy to implement, economical, reliable, but requires time for the concrete to harden. They are used on small, more often private SESs, or in those cases when the soil has a low bearing capacity, is not stable, and is difficult to fix, because concreting provides a wide area of support.

Piles are driven much faster and save human resources. Delivery to the place of installation of a self-propelled piling installation on a caterpillar track with a hydraulic drive is quite an expensive event. Most often used at large megawatt stations. Plugging can be combined with partial concreting in those separate places where the situation requires it.

The foundation is made of concrete blocks. It is like a ballast system for a ground station. It is used in very hard and stony soil that cannot be driven into, or in marshy soils. The blocks themselves are made individually according to the engineer’s project.

For uninterrupted operation of the SPP for 20-25 years, it is necessary to regularly monitor the condition of the foundation. Frequent, heavy rainfall can wash away the soil. If you notice changes in time, you can avoid losses by implementing measures to protect the foundation.
