Case: Solar power plant for self-consumption compensation on the roof of the Human sports club, Dnipro.

  • The main goal of the project:

Reduce costs for payment for consumed electricity.

  • Features of the project:

A complex roof in several levels with a large number of obstacles for the installation of FEM (a high parapet, equipment elements of ventilation and air conditioning systems on the roof in large quantities).

  • Finding a solution:

All the necessary measurements and statistical analysis of the actual e/e consumption were carried out by the SolarSK company, including an examination of the bearing capacity of building structures in order to confirm the possibility and safety of installing an additional load from the FEM on the roof. Several possible variants of SES configuration and FEM placement on the roof were calculated with technical and economic justification of each variant. The option of placing Trina Solar modules with an “east-west” orientation and equipping the SES with Huawei inverter equipment turned out to be the most effective in terms of all technical and economic indicators.

  • The results:

Installed 176 units of Trina Solar TSM-400 DE09 400 Wp PEMs with a total power of 70.40 kW DC using SRS-EW-B SolarSK mounting system and 2 units of Huawei SUN2000-30KTL-M3 inverters with a total power of 60 kW AC.

  • Economic achievements:

During the period from February to October 2022, the SES generated 66,200 kWh of “solar” electricity into the network of the sports club, which is 19.54% of the facility’s total electricity consumption. The direct savings on electricity payments for this period is about 330,000 hryvnias including VAT, which confirms the fact that the payback period for investments in SES will be no more than 4 years!

  • Environmental achievements:
