Solar Steelconstruction completed the design and supply of steel structures for Alum Sistem, Chisinau, Republic of Moldova for a project with a capacity of 133.6 kW SPP on a sloped roof with attachment to a sandwich panel for First Solar thin-film solar panels, which are non-standard for our market. The main advantage of thin-film technology is the increased productivity – 4.5-5% higher compared to traditional crystalline silicon solar modules.
Moldova, as a country with European aspirations, and also experiencing a shortage of its own fossil energy resources, is moving towards increasing the share of renewable energy sources. And the European Union has been supporting and developing projects in Moldova aimed at increasing energy efficiency and reducing CO2 emissions for many years.
